“The Earth is what we all have in common.”
― Wendell Berry
This is a type of weed that grows as a vine (my sweetie calls it “The Monkey Vine”). On the left side, I painted the background with Payne’s Grey and did a second wash over top with Burnt Umber, wet in wet. While that side was still drying, I took a crumbled paper towel and blotted it to create an interesting background that resembles dirt or mulch with dried grass in a garden. I call this “Organic” because it expresses my day, a day that started with gardening and ended with a painting in my sketchbook.
