The orchid we repotted finally is in bloom. There’s another smaller orchid plant next to it that is about to burst with buds soon. The roses are blossoming too. Since I spent the majority of the day helping a friend with a logo for her new dream-come-true business (pet sitting!), it was a joy to go outside around dinnertime and paint. Tomorrow, I have to work all day, and I’d love to turn this painting into a pattern. That’s next on my list. And I see this as making a lovely image on a wedding invitation.

Cynthia this has to be one of my all time favourites. it is so beautiful.

Lovely work, Cynthia. I saw this on Laura’s blog and recognised it immediately. I love orchids so much and have been admiring and photographing them this week. It was an adventure. Love the products from your store. They will be a fantastic treat. xo

Reblogged this on Create art everyday and commented:
Cynthia is an artist friend here on WordPress. She recently painted the most beautiful orchid I’ve ever seen and her lovely image is available now on lots of products in her Society6 shop. I’ve bought a tote bag and can’t wait to receive it. Such luscious colors! Please consider visiting her shop and supporting one of our WordPress artists. Thank you so much!

Great painting, I had to double check the feed to make sure it was yours, a bit of a style change, but so elegant and sophisticated. Looking forward to seeing how you use it in a pattern. Karen

Ok, I really hope you put this in your shop because I really want that tote bag! And who knows what else, maybe a shower curtain! This is amazing. Had to come back and tell you again!

I have to love something to buy it. And I love this! I showed it to my husband and he loves it too! Can’t wait to have it in here sprucing things up! Thank you, C! Oh and if that beautiful pink is Opera Rose, it sounds like a must have color. Best to you with this one, I bet it flies off the shelves at S6, and anywhere else you decide to sell it!

Woo-hoo! The pink is actually magenta – I think W&N, I have to check.

I am not a WN fan. But if you could check, I’d really appreciate it, because I’m getting ready to place a Blick order. (I know that is shocking news!) lol. (((((C))))) I am so proud of your work here. This is really stellar stuff.

Actually it might be Cotman – is that a brand? Or QrO … I have to go upstairs … and I got the Blick cat yesterday, lol. Hold please … yep, Cotman – I got it in PA at AC Moore, I remember buying it there!

So it’s Cotman Magenta? Woot! Awesome, I don’t mind springing for the Cotman line, I just don’t like spending big bucks for WN when IMO it’s far inferior to the much cheaper M. Graham paints! I like many of my Cotman paints tho! Thank you for checking!

Bah, Blick doesn’t have it in Magenta. :((( http://www.dickblick.com/products/winsor-and-newton-cotman-watercolors/

: ( I just uploaded images for S6 ~ since I posted the blog post with the work while it was still wet, in daylight, a photo on my cell phone, the scan in artificial light is not quite the same but still quite lovely, I think. Visit my Shop to see! Maybe your local AC Moore or Michaels has the color …

Woo-hoo! Thank you so much ~ I hope you enjoy it. What will you use your tote for? Art supplies? I am waiting for my tote and carry-all pouch to come, too – and plan to use them to tote things to my little part-time sales job here in FLA. I am so happy you ordered something you really loved. Hope you enjoy it very much xo thanks again!

Yes, I too like the delicacy you’ve achieved…white is a hard ‘colour’ to reproduce…so, well done you!
